I noticed that people were avoiding buying flowers because they didnât see the value in buying an arrangement that faded and dropped after a couple of days.Â
So I use my years of knowledge in the flower industry to select blooms in combinations that last.Â
And put them together in beautiful arrangements that give the wow factor to your gift, home, office or event.Â

Whatâs So Special About Market Fresh Flowers, And Other Questions You Might Have
WHATâS SO GOOD ABOUT MARKET FRESH FLOWERS?
Many florists or supermarkets hold onto flowers. So when you buy them, theyâre already a few days old. Market-fresh flowers are the freshest and last the longest. I aim to sell all my flowers within 2 days of getting them from the market. So you can be sure your flowers last as long as possible.
HOW LONG SHOULD FLOWERS LAST?
This can vary from variety to variety. I strive to sell Market fresh flowers, which is why I sell out - I donât hold stock.
When putting together my bouquets I always try and include different elements that make the arrangement last. You should be able to get 7-10 days out of the lasting aspect.Â
If youâre unsure of what to order and how long it will last, donât hesitate to ask,
and I can talk you through the options
HOW CAN I HELP MY FLOWERS LAST LONGER?
Not all flowers will last the same amount of time, so itâs crucial that you change the water and remove any flowers that have past their best to ensure the others will last.
DO YOU DELIVER FLOWERS?
Yes, I do flower deliveries Auckland Wide Monday â Friday and Saturday on Request. I use dedicated floral couriers that I know and trust.Â
When you order, please make sure you give your phone number so the delivery company can contact the recipient in case of delivery problems.Â
And double check the delivery details, giving information on access to the property. If we canât access the property your flowers might not be able to be delivered and we will still charge for this.
HOW ARE YOUR FLOWERS SO AFFORDABLE?
At Melâs Flower truck, Iâm well-practised in buying from the flower markets, having done so for the past 17 years. What I have come to realise is that people have been led to believe that flowers are unaffordable.
Sure there are some amazing flowers that are âOn Trendâ, and these have the price tag to match. I often look at these flowers at the market in awe as well. They have their place for weddings and events, but (for example) Iâm not going to sell a single white hydrangea for $20.00. Itâs just not in my ethos.
I purchase what is in season and best value. If thereâs lots of it at the truck it
means it's good value. Unless itâs the middle of winter when prices always go up purely because it's hard to grow in winter. If you take note (thereâs nothing in anyoneâs gardens either)
Having a mobile flower truck also allows me to keep my overheads down, and Iâll be there in all weather to keep flowers affordable for you.
I also wrap in brown paper to keep costs down; at the end of the day, itâs the
flowers that should be the focus, not the wrap, as it often goes straight in the bin. I want all people to be able to enjoy flowers and not have to spend a fortune.
